Senior Accountant
Lydia Carter, CPA graduated from Pine Ridge High School in 1994 and earned her B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 1998. She began her career as a staff accountant while still in college and has worked in public accounting ever since. In 2004, Lydia purchased a small local practice and, a few years later in 2010, welcomed her brother into the firm after his transition from corporate finance.
Lydia’s practice focuses on tax planning and preparation, small-business bookkeeping and payroll, compiled and reviewed financial statements, and QuickBooks® advisory for startups and family-owned companies. She also conducts limited assurance engagements for nonprofits and professional service firms.

Senior Tax Advisor
Thomas Bennett, CPA graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1993 and earned his B.S. in Accounting from Auburn University in 1997. He entered public practice while completing his degree and has remained in the profession ever since.
Thomas is married with one daughter and one son. His wife, Marissa, manages operations for a regional landscaping company. Away from the office, Thomas volunteers as treasurer for a local youth sports league, serves on his church finance committee, and enjoys weekend trail runs. He believes responsive communication and practical guidance are the backbone of lasting client relationships.

Business Accounting
Marisa Bennett, ATA is an Accredited Tax Advisor with 15+ years helping service firms, rental property owners, and ecommerce sellers keep more of what they earn. A Texas State University B.B.A. in Finance, she focuses on proactive planning—entity selection, quarterly projections, retirement plan funding, and clean year-end closeouts—translating complex rules into clear steps.
Marisa maintains her ATA through ACAT continuing education, partners closely with bookkeepers, and is a QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor. She speaks at SBDC workshops and volunteers with VITA each filing season. Off the clock, she’s a weekend trail runner and mom of two daughters who think spreadsheets are “grown-up puzzles.”
